We haven’t even arrived at the first port of Split, Croatia and I have seen so much already. We flew into Barcelona a day early so we could walk around the city before we had to disembark on the Celebrity Solstice. The architecture in Barcelona was incredible. I would go as far as saying it was the most unique and beautiful architecture I have seen anywhere in the world. The Basilica in this short preview of my trip so far was the most detailed and beautiful building I have seen in my life. Even after 100 years of construction this masterpiece is not finished. It is said that it will be completed in the year 2026 on the 100-year anniversary of the man who started it. After touring the basilica we headed over to the Barcelona Soccer stadium. I was extremely surprised with how much we were aloud to see. There was a tour that took us from the field all the way up to the press box. I could have spent another week in Barcelona but we had to board the ship and be on our way to Split, Croatia. The Celebrity Solstice is hands down the most beautiful ship I have ever cruised on. The class and detail in the design is amazing. As I was taking pictures around the ship I ran into the nicest family and took a few pictures for them. The one in this series of their family may even be used as their Christmas card! More will come soon! Keep checking in on my site and you will see my whole trip as if you were here by my side!
